Have been four years that I don’t work in anything related to motion design, since I left my job as director of Guayoyo Studio in Caracas, Venezuela.

I was quite disappointed of the work with agencies, advertising, the would process, the clients, have always to compromise on quality, and worse, the declared classism, racism and misogyny of this industry, with all what I had to deal with daily had sucked my creativity and excitement of working on what until then had always been what I wanted to do.

So I decided explore other ways to express myself and devote more time to the photography (and by extension the video), and has been great, it allowed me to travel, to know my country, my region and other continents as well. It has been the best experience that has prepared me for what is to come.

And now confident enough as a creative, without the fear of seeing myself as an artist and without the limitations that I had accumulated over the years, I return again to the animation with this study of my skills, a challenge, seeking renew my knowledge, update on new techniques, in order to carry out the project within a limit time with the available resources.

The goal was to make at least 10 different animations on the same object, or how a system interact in this case, my logo, as a solid block in the middle of a scene.

Part of the challenge was make each of the animations with a maximum of one (1) Keyframe, use procedural animation, MoGraph, X-Particles, RealFlow, Hair and where possible some Xpresso.

The aesthetics of the animation was achieved with Arnold Renderer, for me the best discovery I've made in a long time, with which I learned a lot more about lighting, textures and materials and other technical terms that had never interested me, but now fascinates me.

The end result is a work with which I am very satisfied, my return was not at all traumatic, all this display of fantastic tools had not done lest that blow my creativity, now I feel better prepared to face new challenges.
