Guanare is a small town in the western plains of Venezuela, a developing urban center in the middle of a farmer area, with a rich cultural traditions, one of the most popular is the Mascarada, a street show to celebrate the carnival, with fantastic parades, costumes, floats, musicians, dancers and artists.

This year I enter the festivities to try to do some photographic documentation, and it was a surprise what I would find, one of the best experiences I've had with my hometown and its people.

I invite you to read and the complete series of reports and galleries in my blog, a narration of those who were 6 days in the street with my camera, the heat, the reunion with my roots and my personal reflections.
